Wine expert Cédric Flaction fulfils today a 20 year old dream, elaborating his own table and storable wines.
Ripened on Batassé and Molignon's rocky and sunny hillsides and matured in barrels, these three creations have been christened with patois names, in good harmony with their land. Patronymics pay tribute to the builders of these "staircase" vines, who built the dry-stone walls centuries ago.
Firstly there's Lo Grafion "Black cherry", which is dark red and smooth with a hint of spice. Then there's Torpa "sunburn", a dry white, golden yellow, with mellow hints of citrus fruits and vanilla. Finally, for dessert, Lo Teron, a sweet wine, complex and exotic, this wine is to be sipped in order to appreciate the apricot and pineapple flavours. And to sign his work, Cédric Flaction marks them with the seal of an anonymous stone-cutter who built cathedrals.
