Marsanne (Ermitage)

This vine variety seems to have been introduced to the Valais in the middle of the 19th Century. It is originally from "Les Côtes du Rhône". The soil in Valais is perfect for growing Marsanne. This is a great wine for the cellar as it improves drastically with age.
